Structural Engineer

SUMMARY

The Prime Company is a vertically integrated Multi-family developer who designs, builds and manages apartments across the USA. The Prime Company is looking to add to our vertical integration by adding a structural engineer to our design team. Prime Design is our in-house design firm that currently includes 12 Architects/Designers and an MEP engineer. We are looking for a Licensed Civil Engineer who has been actively working in the structural engineering field. Who has experience in the design of wood-framed, masonry, concrete, and steel-framed structures, with a focus on multifamily projects. The Prime Company typically designs and builds large infill wood framed apartments over a concrete structural podium deck. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional Engineer License (PE) . (Preferred in California)

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering/Civil Engineering.

• AutoCad and Revit

• At least 6 years of relevant structural experience (residential, wood frame)

• Ability to get licensed in other states. (Will have to be able to obtain a structural engineering license in the state of California. We have completed projects in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Minnesota, Ohio, Colorado, Wyoming, California, and Texas.)

• Project management experience

• Strong understanding of Building Codes

• Experience in building permitting processes

• Continual drive to improve and Learn

• Desire to grow in your role and pioneer this position in the company

• Technically savvy and have an aptitude to learn technical details and environments.

• A passion for constant improvement – always looking to do things better (both personally, as part of a team and for the company).

• Capable of prioritizing and allocating resources to / focus efficiently on multiple projects.

• Ability to work with technical and non-technical parties to overcome obstacles and deliver results.

• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. (We are not considering candidates on OPTs or visas.)

LOCATION

This position is available for remote work. The Prime Company values collaborative working in our corporate offices. As a result of that we offer a $10,000 bonus to move to Manhattan KS to work from our corporate headquarters.

COMPENSATION

Salary

• $85,000 to $175,000/year
